L is for Lebanese August 5, 2008
Meat, minced garlic, lady fingers and more filo pastry that you could throw a stick at. The Alphabet Club ventured to Emma’s on Liberty in Enmore this time to sample some tasty Lebanese treats. Personally, I’ve been hanging to go here for some time. I love the multiple courses of medditeranean food and Emma’s didn’t disappoint.
Who was there:

We had* the banquet consisting of**:
- Plenty of lebanese bread with hummous, tabouli, baba ganoush and falafel
- A bbq chicken thing with minced garlic
- A toasted cauliflower thing with some spices on it
- Garlic and coriander potato cubes (Yum!)
- A roasted aubergine*** in tomato thing
- Lamb skewers (thing)
- Ladies Fingers (Very nicely spiced lamb? mince in baked int filo pastry - think spring roll)
- Baby Fig, Honey and Yoghurt
- Baclava, some with a side of vanilla icecream, some dipped in chocolate
Did I miss anything?
I’d go back. Would you?
* nb. I’m notorious for not remembering what I’ve eaten after I’ve eaten it. I remember it tasted good though!
** nb2. Of course these are the formal names of the dishes on the menu
*** nb3. I just wanted to say aubergine rather than eggplant because it makes me feel special.
